Parks Canada Agency appears to be seeking bids for Stage 2 of the Beaver Brook Camp project in Akami-Uapishkᵁ-Kak Kasuak–Mealy Mountains National Park Reserve, Newfoundland and Labrador. The estimated closing time is October 29, 2026 at 12:30 p.m. This is a construction project involving a remote camp facility near the junction of Lake Melville and the Etagaulet River. Work appears to include constructing a lodge with screened porch and deck, a backcountry privy, a storage cache, approximately 250 metres of wooden boardwalks, five tent pads, a food cache, seasonal floating dock, site furnishings, a fire pit, and a traditional camping area. Solar power, tree clearing, topsoil preservation, site work, and re-naturalization are also included. The site appears to have no existing infrastructure and may only be accessible by boat, seaplane, helicopter, or snowmobile when ice conditions are safe, which could create significant transportation, logistics, safety, and seasonal-planning requirements. This is the second stage of a two-stage solicitation. The notice states that only suppliers qualified in Stage 1 have been invited to submit further qualifications and a financial bid, so a business that was not qualified in the first stage may not be able to submit a direct bid. Potential subcontractors are invited to list their company under “Partner with another business.” The tender is categorized as construction and lists Newfoundland and Labrador and Quebec-related location information; the exact contracting and delivery requirements should be confirmed. Review the official tender notice, specifications, drawings, eligibility requirements, submission instructions, insurance and bonding terms, site-access conditions, and deadline before deciding whether to pursue the opportunity or approach a qualified prime contractor. Bid Maple is not affiliated with the Government of Canada.
