Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) - *Canada, Surrey, BC
The RCMP is seeking a contractor to modify and equip a Ford Transit 250 AWD High Roof van for use as a training vehicle. The RCMP will provide the van, which is currently in Chilliwack, BC. The contractor would be responsible for arranging and paying for transportation to its fit-up facility and returning the vehicle to Chilliwack after the work is completed. The contract is expected to run for one year, beginning around November 17, 2026, with options for up to two additional six-month extensions. The initial completed fit-up must be delivered within three months of contract award. The contract will be awarded to the responsive bidder with the lowest evaluated price. This procurement is conditionally set aside under the federal Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business (PSIB). Bidders must certify that they meet the PSIB definition of an Indigenous business and agree to comply with its requirements. If at least two compliant Indigenous businesses bid, the competition may be restricted to those businesses and non-Indigenous bids may not be considered. This appears potentially relevant primarily to Canadian businesses that can meet the PSIB requirements and perform specialized vehicle fit-up work. The tender closes September 15, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Bids must be submitted by email to [email protected]. Documents may be submitted in either official language. The solicitation also includes mandatory environmentally preferable packaging requirements and RCMP supplier-integrity provisions. Before deciding whether to bid, review the complete solicitation, technical specifications, Indigenous-business certification requirements, delivery schedule, transportation obligations, pricing instructions, and packaging requirements. Regularly check the official Canada Buys/GETS notice for amendments and responses to bidder questions, as the government may not issue separate notifications. Confirm all details in the official tender documents before submitting a bid.
