The tender is for controlled goods and falls under demolition materials/ammunition. Although the notice states that there are no security requirements, suppliers would still need to comply with the Controlled Goods Program and all applicable explosives, transportation, storage, safety, and regulatory requirements. The firm requirement is: - 264 kits delivered to CFAD Dundurn, Saskatchewan, by November 1, 2028. - 264 kits delivered to CFAD Angus, Ontario, by November 1, 2028. The tender is scheduled to close on December 1, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.; the applicable time zone and submission instructions should be confirmed in the official documents. Bids may be submitted in English or French. The notice says Canadian suppliers, suppliers from applicable trading partners, and suppliers from non-trading partners may be eligible to submit offers, subject to the stated conditions and any applicable sanctions. This opportunity potentially matches Canadian businesses that can lawfully manufacture, supply, handle, and deliver controlled explosive-related goods, but the notice alone does not establish whether a particular company qualifies. Review the full request for proposal, specifications, certifications, licensing, packaging and transportation requirements, delivery terms, pricing forms, and evaluation criteria before deciding whether to bid. NOTICE OF PROPOSED PROCUREMENT Canada has arequirement for the items detailed below: GSIN: N1375 – Demolition MaterialsUNSPSC: 46101600 –Ammunition Description: Demolition Kit, Bangalore Torpedo M1A2 A requirement exists to resupply Canada with the Demolition Kit, Bangalore Torpedo M1A2. The Demolition Kit, Bangalore Torpedo M1A2 is required as a specialized explosive charge used by combat engineers to breach barbed wire obstacles/entanglements and to clear a path through anti-personnel mines, without requiring personnel to approach the obstacle directly under fire. The system consists of several cylindrical sections of tubes/pipes that can be connected end-to end to create a linear explosive charge of desired length. A blunt, rounded nose sleeve is attached to the leading end of the assembly, allowing the torpedo to be pushed or shoved through obstacles, such as concertina wire or across rough terrain, without snagging. The Demolition Kit, Bangalore Torpedo M1A2 is primed with a blasting cap. When detonated, the pipe itself contributes to the effect: the metal casing fractures into high-velocity fragments that shred the surrounding wire, while the explosive blast clears a path for infantry to advance.Firm Quantity: 264 units - Delivery to Canadian Forces Ammunition Depot (CFAD) Dundurn, Dundurn, Saskatchewan on or before 01 November 2028. 264 units - Delivery to Canadian Forces Ammunition Depot (CFAD) Angus, Angus, Ontario on or before 01 November 2028.Unfunded Optional Quantity: 132 units - Delivery to Canadian Forces Ammunition Depot (CFAD) Dundurn, Dundurn, Saskatchewan between 01 September 2031 and 01 November 2031. 132 units - Delivery to Canadian Forces Ammunition Depot (CFAD) Angus, Angus, Ontario between 01 September 2031 and 30 November 2031.Unit of Issue: Each, per kit 1.
