Public summary

This open tender appears to seek up to five Standing Offer Agreements with engineering firms that can provide geotechnical and hydrotechnical services at abandoned mine and other contaminated sites throughout Yukon. The work would support site care and maintenance, remediation planning, assessments, designs, and related engineering tasks. Specific assignments would be issued on an as-needed basis through individual call-ups, so the scope may vary by site. The requirement is for Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC), although the listing identifies Indigenous Services Canada as the buyer. Projects may involve sites covered by several Yukon First Nations’ Comprehensive Land Claims Agreements, so experience working in northern, remote, contaminated-site, and Indigenous or land-claims contexts may be relevant. The listing states that no security requirements apply. The proposed standing-offer period runs from award until March 31, 2030, with two optional one-year extensions. The stated closing deadline is December 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. The location is primarily Yukon, with Gatineau, Quebec also shown in the listing, potentially reflecting an administrative location. Businesses considering this opportunity should review the complete official RFSO and tender notice for mandatory qualifications, personnel and corporate experience requirements, financial provisions, submission instructions, evaluation criteria, insurance, Indigenous participation expectations, and the precise closing-time rules.
