Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), through the Canadian Forest Service—Laurentian Forestry Centre (CFS-LFC), has been entrusted by the Department of National Defense (DND) with the mandate to implement the integrated forest resource management plan for Valcartier Base (Base Va) and Farnham Base (Base Fa). Since 1994, various forest management and related activities have been carried out. To continue fulfilling this mandate, NRCan must carry out various forest management and related activities, including timber harvesting, silvicultural work, forest road maintenance, and other types of work in forest areas. This contract is based on a barter- principle. The initial Contract will end November 30, 2027. Canada reserves the option to extend the Contract for up to three (3) additional one (1) year period under the same terms and conditions. There will be an optional site visit on October 8, 2026.
