The RCMP is seeking a contractor to inspect and maintaingenerators at multiple Nunavut facilities: Cambridge Bay, Clyde River, Gjoa Haven, Kinngait (Cape Dorset), Qikiqtarjuaq, Taloyoak, Iqaluit Headquarters, and the Iqaluit Hangar. The opportunity appears relevant to businesses with generator maintenance capability, personnel, security capacity, and the ability to service remote Nunavut locations. A critical condition is that bidding is limited to firms registered on the Inuit Firm Registry (IFR). A business that is not registered on the IFR may have its bid declared non-responsive. The solicitation also requires bidders to propose Inuit employment, subcontracting, training, and other benefits through an Inuit Benefits Plan (IBP), reflecting the Nunavut Agreement and related procurement requirements. Businesses should verify the IFR requirements and whether their registration is current before investing in a bid. The contract is expected to run for 36 months, with options for two additional one-year extensions. Evaluation is basedon the highest combined responsive score: 70% price and 30% IBP merit. Mandatory technical, administrative, security, and other requirements must also be met. The requirement contains a security component, so the official solicitation should be reviewed for the specific personnel, organization, and facility security requirements. The stated closing deadline is November 9, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. The notice directs bids to the RCMP Bid Receiving Unit at [email protected]. Documents are available through the listed Canada Buys links, including the RFP, security guide, and integrity-verification form. Bidders should review the complete official RFP, confirm the applicable time zone and submission instructions, monitor Canada Buys for amendments and answers, and verify all mandatory requirements before submitting. Canada Buys should be treated as the authoritative source because the notice states that amendments will be posted there and may not be sent directly to bidders.
