The purpose of this Negotiated Request for Proposal (the “NRFP”) is to solicit proposals from qualified proponents that can provide integrated marketing services primarily in Japan, while also demonstrating the expertise, resources, and operating flexibility to support Destination Canada in South Korea and China markets, as required. Proponents should demonstrate a strong understanding of tourism marketing, traveller demand, aviation and air-access dynamics, distribution and travel trade, and the broader factors affecting visitation from Asia to Canada. The successful proponent (the “Contractor”) achieves its goals through delivering effective strategic partnerships, media relations & public relations (MRPR), social media, consumer marketing, travel trade development, strategic industry engagement and event and experience management that grow awareness, consideration and conversion among DC’s Highly Engaged Guests (“HEGs”). The Contractor may engage qualified subcontractors to deliver executional services, where appropriate. The Contractor will remain fully responsible for the performance and quality of all services delivered by its subcontractors. See Statement of Work (Section C) for detailed requirements. It is DC’s intent to enter into an agreement with the proponent who can best serve the interests of DC. At the final outcome of the NRFP process, the successful proponent may be required to collaborate with DC’s other service providers and partners to ensure that public relations and communications services are consistent with DC’s mandate, brand and corporate strategy.
