This appears to be an open Advance Contract Award Notice (ACAN) from Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) for renting an indoor firing range for Pacific Region Conservation and Protection personnel. DFO currently intends to award the contract to the Abbotsford Fish and Game Club, but other suppliers may respond with a statement of capabilities showing that they can meet all mandatory requirements. The facility would support firearms training, qualification, and operational readiness. Key requirements appear to include: - A legally compliant indoor firing range with at least 10 lanes, each at least 25 metres long - Capacity for up to 10 shooters at the same time - Approval for 9mm full-metal-jacket and hollow-point ammunition, and 12-gauge shotgun slugs - Suitable ventilation and air filtration directing contaminants away from the firing line - Adjustable lighting, including low-light capability - Temperature control, washrooms, and safe operating procedures - Experience serving law-enforcement, military, or comparable clients - Appropriate insurance, certifications, and trained safety staff The proposed contract would run from award until August 31, 2030. The estimated value is shown as approximately $216,525, although the tender data appears incomplete and the exact amount should be confirmed in the official notice. The notice states that there are no security requirements. The closing date is September 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. The listing identifies British Columbia and the National Capital Region/Ottawa, while the requirements refer specifically to the DFO Pacific Region and an Abbotsford facility. This location information should be verified. This is notnecessarily a standard competitive tender: if DFO receives no qualifying statement of capabilities, it may proceed with the pre-identified supplier. A potentially matching supplier would need to submit evidence addressing every minimum requirement by the deadline. Bid Maple is not affiliated with the Government of Canada. Review and verify the official tender notice, submission instructions, deadlines, contract terms, and any required contact information before responding.
