This appears to be a major Defence Construction Canada design-build opportunity for up to seven new CAT II accommodation buildings at 5 CDSB Gagetown in Oromocto, New Brunswick. Although the listing identifies Ottawa, Ontario, as the location, the described construction site is in Oromocto, NB; verify this in the official tender documents. Key details: -Buyer: Defence Construction Canada (DCC) -Status: Open -Closing: October 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. The official MERX system should be checked for the applicable time zone and any changes. -Estimated value: Approximately $133 million -Procurement method: Modified design-build through a Design-Build Team -Submission method: MERX Electronic Bidding System -Applicable trade agreements: CFTA, CETA Chapter 19, and WTO-GPA -Security: The selected contractor is required to hold a valid Designated Organization Screening (DOS) issued through PSPC’s Contract Security Program. Amendment No. 1 reportedly contains further security requirements. The opportunity appears intended for a substantial integrated design and construction team. Listed roles include lead and senior architects; structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers; commissioning personnel; technologists and draftspersons; a project manager; superintendent; and Indigenous relations coordinator. The pricing section also appears to request hourly rates and other fee information, but the full RFP must be reviewed to understand the complete pricing structure and mandatory requirements. Potentially relevant businesses would likely need the capacity to manage a large defence construction project, assemble the required design disciplines, meet federal security requirements, and work in New Brunswick. This notice alone is not enough to determine whether a particular company can bid or meets the requirements. Before deciding to pursue it, review the complete MERX RFP, amendments, submission instructions, insurance and bonding requirements, experience criteria, security screening provisions, Indigenous relations requirements, and site/project conditions. Confirm all details and the current closing date directly in the official tender notice before submitting a proposal.Official source: https://www.merx.com/public/solicitations/4056245952/abstract?language=EN
