Parks Canada appears to be seeking a contractor to relocate historical and archaeological collections, related documentation, equipment, and office assets from two facilities in Québec City to a purpose-built facility in Gatineau. The work is scheduled for December 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027. This opportunity may be relevant to businesses with experience in specialized moving, collection handling, packing, logistics, records or asset relocation, and the protection of historical or archaeological materials. The tender includes a security requirement, and personnel requiring new Government of Canada security clearances may need fingerprinting at their own expense. A mandatory site visit is required. The listed visits are: - October 20, 2026, at the Beauport Reserve, 442 av. Des Cordillères, Québec, followed by the Newton Reserve, 1780 av. Newton, Québec. - October 22, 2026, at the Collections and Curatorial Centre, 555 av. Des Entreprises, Gatineau. Businesses must contact the contracting authority by October 15, 2026, at 14:00 EDT to confirm attendance and provide representative names. Failure to attend may result in the bid being declared non-compliant. The closing date is November 9, 2026, at 14:00. Bids must be submitted only by fax to 1-877-558-2349 or by email to [email protected], as specified in the solicitation. Parks Canada is not accepting submissions through SAP Ariba, in person, or by courier. Email attachments must be used; links to documents will not be accepted, and the total email size should generally remain within the stated 15 MB limit. Multiple properly labelled emails may be required. The tender identifies Canada Buys as the source for the official documents and addenda. Review the full RFP, schedules, security terms, insurance and technical requirements, site-visit instructions, and any amendments before deciding whether to bid. This summary does not confirm that a business qualifies, and all details—including dates, submission instructions, and the apparently inconsistent location metadata—should be verified against the current official tender notice before submitting an offer.
