This appears to be an open, two-phase AAFC procurement for plumbing work at the Beaverlodge Research Farm in Beaverlodge, Alberta. The project involves installing approximately 35 backflow-prevention devices across 10 buildings, including reduced-pressure assemblies, vacuum breakers, air gaps, check valves and mixing valves. Plumbing changes may also be needed to meet applicable codes, specifications and municipal requirements. The site will remain occupied during construction, so the contractor would need to plan phased work, coordinate water shutoffs with AAFC staff and minimize disruption to research and other operations. Trades staff working on site will reportedly need Reliability Status security clearance before starting work. The stated completion deadline is March 31, 2027. The procurement uses a two-phase process: •Phase One: submit qualifications and relevant experience only, following the Invitation to Qualify instructions. •Phase Two: bidders who proceed will receive an Invitation to Tender for pricing based on the specifications and drawings. The Phase One and Phase Two submissions together form the final bid. The tender record lists a closing time of October 28, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.; however, bidders should confirm the exact deadline, time zone, submission method and required Phase One information on page 1 and Section 3 of the official Invitation to Qualify. The project location is Beaverlodge, Alberta, while the listed procuring office is in Regina, Saskatchewan. A plumbing or mechanical contractor with relevant backflow-prevention, commercial or institutional plumbing experience may find this opportunity potentially relevant, subject to the detailed solicitation requirements. The notice indicates that submissions may be made in either official language. AAFC will post amendments and answers through Canada Buys/GETS, and bidders are responsible for checking the official notice regularly. Review the attached solicitation before deciding whether to bid, and verify all experience, security, insurance, licensing, bonding, submission and deadline requirements directly with the official documents.
