Parks Canada is seeking experienced nursery or plant-propagation businesses for a supply arrangement covering whitebark and/or limber pine seed processing and growing in the Mountain Parks Region of Alberta and British Columbia. The work appears to involve: - Extracting seeds from cones supplied by mountain national parks; - Separating seeds using air separation; - Stratifying seeds over the fall and winter; - Growing the seeds into mature seedlings; and - Delivering approximately two-year-old seedlings to Parks Canada parks or field units for fall planting. This is an ongoing qualification opportunity rather than a single fixed project. The arrangement has no stated end date and may remain in place while Parks Canada considers it useful. New suppliers may submit an arrangement at any time, but evaluations may be conducted in quarterly cycles. The listed evaluation dates are March 30, June 30, September 30, and December 30, at 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time. The tender record shows a closing date of March 31, 2100, which may be a system placeholder or reflect the open-ended arrangement; this should be confirmed in the official notice. Potentially relevant businesses may include experienced commercial nurseries, seed-processing operations, growers, or restoration-plant suppliers with suitable facilities and expertise. The notice does not establish that any particular business qualifies; bidders should review the complete qualification requirements and submission documents. Important submission instructions: - Offers must be sent by email to [email protected] or by fax to 1-866-246-6893. - Offers sent to other email addresses, including the Standing Offer Authority’s direct email, will not be accepted. - Email attachments must be used; links to documents will not be accepted. - The total email size limit is 15 MB.
