The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) appears to be seeking proposals for two benchtop multiple-reactor systems under solicitation 26-58202. The equipment would support high-throughput hydrometallurgical research, including automated sampling, real-time process monitoring, crystallization analysis, turbidity and solubility measurements, and nucleation-time monitoring. Key details: -Buyer: National Research Council of Canada, Clean Energy Innovation Research Center -Procurement type: Open Request for Proposal (RFP) -Location: Ottawa, Ontario; delivery is indicated as Canada or applicable provinces/territories -Closing deadline: November 24, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. EST -Expected delivery: Within 8 weeks after contract award -Award basis: Lowest evaluated price among bids that meet all mandatory requirements -Submission method: Email to NRC.Bid Receiving-Receptiondes [email protected] -Submission language: English or French -Trade coverage: The notice lists multiple Canadian and international trade agreements. The first system appears to require integrated sampling automation and compatibility with a self-driving acceleration platform. The second appears to require multiple reactors and instrumentation for monitoring crystallization-related processes. Suppliers would need to review the RFP for the precise technical specifications, mandatory criteria, pricing format, delivery requirements, and any testing or installation obligations. The notice states that eligibility is subject to Canada’s Policy on Reciprocal Procurement, meaning suppliers generally must be Canadian suppliers or suppliers from an applicable trading partner; suppliers from non-trading partners may be rejected. This does not determine whether a particular business is eligible, so the official RFP should be checked carefully. Before submitting, review the two official tender documents, confirm all mandatory technical requirements, monitor Canada Buys for amendments and answers to questions, and follow the stated bid-receiving instructions. The official notice should be treated as controlling, and all details must be verified there before preparing or submitting a bid.

The first system requires integrated sampling automation that can be coupled to a self-driving acceleration platform. The system will be utilized for high-throughput characterization of hydrometallurgical processes that contain multi-component mixtures in real-time as a part of the Critical Battery Materials Initiative (CBMI). The systems must be equipped to collect aliquots of reaction accurately during hydrometallurgical testing. The second system will be utilized for high-throughput characterization of crystallization processes from multi-component mixtures in real-time. This particular system must be equipped with multiple reactors to monitor turbidity, solubility, nucleation time and crystallization reactions accurately during hydrometallurgical testing. Beyond the already planned projects involving this equipment, the applications of this equipment are broad and can be incorporated into many NRC-Mississauga (NRC-M) projects. The units are expected to be received within 8 weeks of contract award. Solicitation of Offer Submission Eligibility. This solicitation of offers is subject to the Policy on Reciprocal Procurement.
