This appears to be an open Fisheries and Oceans Canada tender for reconstructing a wharf at St. Bride’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. The work is expected to include demolishing and removing the existing northwest breakwater wharf; disposing of any creosote timber at a provincially regulated facility; constructing a treated timber crib wharf with a reinforced-concrete deck, structural timber, concrete spraywall and concrete-filled seaward crib bays; installing cleats, fenders, ladders, wheelguards and related hardware; and completing electrical work, including a new electrical shed. Electrical upgrades are also planned for Structure #408, including a new shed, pedestals, wiring, trenching and a 600 mm HDPE culvert. The stated closing date is November 27, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. The anticipated completion deadline is March 31, 2030. Bidders are responsible for assessing site access, remoteness, weather, soil conditions, working conditions, materials and other risks before bidding. A site visit may be conducted at the bidder’s own cost and schedule, with appropriate safety measures. The tender record contains an important location inconsistency: the title and scope identify St. Bride’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, while the location field states “St. Bride’s, Ottawa, Ontario.” This should be clarified using the official tender notice and drawings before taking any action. The provided documents appear to include the invitation to tender, specifications and drawings, but no official source-page URL was supplied. Review those documents for mandatory experience, bonding, insurance, security, licensing, submission instructions, site-visit requirements and other bid conditions. This opportunity potentially matches businesses with marine construction, timber crib wharf, concrete, demolition, electrical and remote-site capabilities, but the business should independently assess its capacity and requirements. Verify all details in the official tender notice before submitting a bid; Bid Maple is not affiliated with the Government of Canada.
