Parks Canada - *Alberta *British Columbia, *Canada, Gatineau, Quebec
Parks Canada is seeking experienced nursery growers for a standing arrangement covering the extraction, air separation, stratification and propagation of whitebark and/or limber pine seeds. The seeds would be collected by mountain national park staff in Alberta and British Columbia, sent to the grower in the fall, processed and propagated through the fall and winter, and grown into mature seedlings for delivery to Parks Canada or field units for fall planting approximately two years after collection. This appears potentially relevant to Canadian nurseries or growers with suitable seed-extraction, propagation, stratification and long-term seedling-growing capabilities. The work must comply with applicable National Parks legislation, regulations and operational requirements. The notice does not specify a fixed end date for the standing arrangement; it is intended to remain available while Parks Canada considers it advantageous to use. New suppliers may submit arrangements throughout the life of the opportunity. Evaluations may occur in quarterly cycles, with listed refresh dates of March 30, June 30, September 30 and December 30 at 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time. The supplied record shows a closing date of March 31, 2100, which may be a system or long-term opportunity date; confirm the current evaluation schedule and applicable deadline in the official notice. Responses must be submittedusing the specified Parks Canada process: by email to [email protected] or by fax to 1-866-246-6893. Email attachments must not exceed 15 MB, links to documents are not accepted, and multiple emails should be clearly labelled if needed. Documents may be submitted in English or French. The buyer may negotiate with suppliers. Before deciding whether to respond, review the complete official RFSA and all addenda on Canada Buys, including the detailed technical requirements, evaluation criteria, required experience, insurance, pricing and submission forms. Verify the current notice, deadlines and submission instructions directly with the official tender documents before submitting; Bid Maple is not affiliated with the Government of Canada.
