Defence Construction Canada is seeking proposals from design-build teams for new accommodations at CFB Kingston in Kingston, Ontario. The project involves designing and constructing four potential buildings, with the initial phase covering two buildings. Each building is expected to have at least 72 Category II accommodation rooms and be no more than six storeys. Related work includes upgrades to water, stormwater, sanitary, electrical power and telecommunications systems, as well as a new access road and parking. The estimated value is approximately $37.6 million for the first two buildings, with an estimated total of $75.2 million if all four buildings proceed. The procurement appears most relevant to firms or teams with significant design-build, institutional or defence construction experience, including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and civil engineering capabilities. The tender also lists hourly-rate positions for these disciplines. The closing date was amended from September 29, 2026, to October 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. The proposal must be submitted through the MERX Electronic Bidding System. A site visit is scheduled for August 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time at 3 Radar Street, East Parking Lot, Kingston; attendance is highly recommended. Security requirements are described in Amendment No. 1. Questions must be sent only to the official contact identified in the notice, as contacting others could create a risk of disqualification. This opportunity may be relevant to an appropriately experienced Canadian design-build team, but the notice does not establish whether any particular business qualifies. Review the complete RFP, amendments, submission requirements, security conditions and mandatory experience criteria, and confirm the current closing details directly in the officialMERX notice before submitting a proposal: https://www.merx.com/public/solicitations/4057311204/abstract?language=EN
