Shared Services Canada has posted an open Advance Contract Award Notice (ACAN) for on-demand Lightspeed low-Earth-orbit satellite services. The intended supplier is identified as Telesat LEO ULC, for use by SSC and partner organizations across Canada and potentially internationally. The requirement appears to include managed satellite connectivity such as dedicated bandwidth, low-latency and high-throughput service, Canadian gateways and terrestrial infrastructure, private and public networking, installation, commissioning, helpdesk, billing, maintenance, engineering, and customer support. This notice is not a standard invitation where SSC is seeking multiple bids immediately. Other suppliers that believe they can meet the stated requirements may submit a Statement of Capabilities by the closing deadline. If SSC determines that no submitted capability meets the requirements, it may proceed with the proposed contract award to the pre-identified supplier. The tender is listed as open and closes November 2, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Ottawa time. It may be potentially relevant to a satellite operator, telecommunications provider, managed connectivity company, or a consortium or partner able to provide comparable sovereign, enterprise-grade LEO satellite services and related support. Review the complete ACAN and Amendment 000 in the official tender documents before deciding whether to respond. Confirm the exact capability requirements, submission instructions, deadline, amendment terms, security or regulatory requirements, and whether a Statement of Capabilities would be accepted from your business. This summary does not establish eligibility or qualification.

  • The notice relates to one proposed contract to be awarded to one contractor.
